Eighteen people are currently employed in the AFAO Secretariat in full-time and part-time positions, both permanently and for fixed terms working on specific AFAO projects.

The AFAO Secretariat's Vision Statement is: "Our communities living with, affected by and fighting HIV/AIDS can rely on the AFAO Secretariat Team for information, advocacy and policy of uncompromising quality".
